"Why can't this book be written in plain English?!" 

That's my initial reaction in reading Moira Young's first book in the Dust Lands Series. It was frustrating. Really frustrating. If you've read it, you know what I mean.

BUT. 

The story just sucked me in, despite the way it was written. It was really interesting. I loved all the characters - each of them is interesting in their special way, and I can't wait to read more about them in the second book.
