Welcome to my blog! How are you today?
Hi JoAnne. I'm doing great! Thanks for having me here on your Fairytale Nerd blog!

Tell me aboout your book.
Brightest Kind of Darkness is a dark paranormal YA full of adventure, mystery, romance and even some horror.

What is the message from your book that you want to convey to your readers?
I like for readers to take away their own messages from my stories. Each person will come away with something different based on their own experiences/point-of-views/beliefs in life. I think that is so wonderful about reading! :)

Give me one thing that you would want to change about your book.
I would've like to have written a novella prequel for Brightest Kind of Darkness, but the way BKoD unfolds I really couldn't do that without giving away spoilers. So now I'm writing a novella sequel. :)

What would you say is your interesting writing quirk?
Whenever I edit hardcopy (paper), I MUST use colorful pens (magenta, lime green, bright orange, turquoise, royal blue, bright purple). It's like a ritual.

Who is your hero in real life?
My mom is my hero!

What about in books?
Madeleine L'Engle

What are your favorite colors?
Purple and red

How many wisdom teeth do you have?
None...ha, not any more!

What do you miss most right now?
I miss living closer to my family.

Do you trust others easily?
Not usually. It's a Scorpio trait, I'm afraid. :) But when I put my trust in someone, it's a very strong trust.

What was your favorite toy as a child?
My Big Wheel.

What is your next project?
LUCID, a novella in the Brightest Kind of Darkness series.
