It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

The book/s I have read the past week, and the book/s I plan to read throughout the week.

Last week, I finished reading the following books:

Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles
Between the Lines by Jodi Picoult, Samantha van Leer

I know, I know. Perfect Chemistry has been out forever. But like I've said time and again, I am not a fan of YA contemporaries, that's why I haven't read it sooner. I have to say though, that Perfect Chemistry is a satisfying read, and I am really happy that I picked this up. The main characters were total opposites, and it was fun reading about how they managed to compromise. Plus, there were very hot scenes - one of the hottest in the YA universe, actually.

And then I've read Between The Lines. Being a sucker for princes and fairy tales, I picked this up as the book says it's a fairy tale and the main character is a story book prince. But after reading it, I really don't know what to think about this it. The premise (characters of a fairy tale come alive) is interesting, but the book came out too... cute and juvenile. It's like reading a children's book.

Anyway, these books are next on my list:

Tiger's Destiny (The Tiger Saga #4) by Colleen Houck
Something Strange and Deadly (Something Strange and Deadly #1) by Susan Dennard

I cannot express how happy I am to have an advance copy of Tiger's Destiny. I really wasn't expecting that I would be allowed access. But nonetheless, I am thankful. I am a big fan of Colleen Houck, and the Tiger Saga is one of my favorite series. I've been waiting for this fourth book to come out forever. So again, thank you Splinter for this wonderful, wonderful opportunity.
