Why oh why did I wait SOOOOO long to read the first two books in this series? Those books (Legacy and Allegiance) have been out for some time now. All I can say is that after reading the first book, I am hooked! I loved the world that Kluver created. And the romance (and the frustration it brings) is just fabulous! So now, I am very eagerly waiting for Sacrifice.

Because I am obsessing over Cayla Kluver's Legacy Trilogy, my swoon is from the second book, Allegiance.

Now I know that Steldor can be a chauvinist and I am all about women empowerment, but I can't help it - I like Steldor better than Narian. So my swoon is one of those frustrating Steldor-Alera scenes...

He reached out and turned my body toward his, gazing into my eyes, then he ran the fingers of one hand along my jaw line. Sliding the same hand under my hair and behind my neck, he leaned toward me and kissed me softly, gently, sweetly, and I felt myself responding. He pulled back to examine my face, playing with a strand of my hair.
“You are driving me mad, Alera,” he said huskily. “Your voice, your scent, the way you look, the way you move…Iwant more than anything to truly be your husband, for you to truly be my wife.”
