What great books did you hear about/discover this past week?

FAERIES!!!

I just can't get enough of faeries!

And look what I just found...

Memory's Wake by Selina Fenech

I came across this treasure by merely blog hopping. I was immediately attracted to the cover because of the color pink. So I read the blurb. To my surprise, it's about faeries. ding! ding! ding! The protagonist is lost in some sort of "Victorian Faeryland" and wants to go home. I felt like I won a jackpot or something, since I have been searching far and wide for another book about fae, since it seem I have read all interesting ones. According to the author's website, it may be likened to Holly Black's Tithe and Melissa Marr's Wicked Lovely - a little bit on the dark side. Not only that, this book is also illustrated. What is even more amazing is that it was the author herself who drew the beautiful faerie illustrations that are spread throughout the book. Want sample chapters? Here!

Aaahhhh! Just look at the second image. I really think it could be Meghan and Ash from the Iron King! Minus the wings. These are really good, and I think it will truly give life to the story.

Okay! Now I need to speed up my reading so I can start on this one! So excited!
