Thursday Tea #6

Thursday Tea is hosted by Birdbrain(ed) Book Blog.
To play along, all you need is some tea, a book, and the answers to these questions:
What tea are you drinking (and do you like it)?
What book are you reading (and do you like it)?
Tell us a little about your tea and your book, and whether or not the two go together.

The Book?
Today I am reading Falling for Hamlet by Michelle Ray. It's a modern day retelling of that play by Shakespeare. I have to say that I am not really a fan of retellings, but I would consider this book as an exception. By the way, the book is Ophelia's side of the story. It is narrated by her. There are many things I like about this book. First of all, I love Ophelia's character in this book. She can be fun and wild sometimes, but there will always be the part in her that is an obedient and loving daughter to her father. I also like the way the author created the book. The whole book was basically an episode of a talk show (hosted by someone like Oprah), where Ophelia was invited to narrate the events, and tell her side of the story.

The Tea?
It's stormy these days where I live so I am sipping my favorite - Okinawa milk tea. For those of you who are interested, milk tea is also known as Bubble Tea. This kind of beverage is said to originate from Hong Kong. It's actually black tea mixed with milk (usually evaporated milk). Then you can add sinkers to your drink - tapioca, pudding, coconut jelly or nata de coco. You can also choose the amount of sugar. I don't have a sweet tooth, so I like mine with no sinkers and only 25% sugar. Yum!

Do they go together?
Of course they do! Like the yummy milk tea, Hamlet was portrayed by the author as spoiled, obsessed, charming, and yummy sexy!
