Llona Reese is used to living on the run. After the Vykens killed her parents, she knew they would eventually come for her too. But she never felt ready to face them---until now. Defying the Auran Council and everything she's been taught, Llona must learn to use her power over light as a weapon if she wants to survive.

Character Run Down

Llona

She is an Aura, which means she has the ability to manipulate light. Llona has really long, blond, almost white hair that can’t ever be changed. She likes to be competitive, which goes against the Auran teachings. With the help of Christian, she learns to use her power over lightas a weapon to help save her life.

May

Llona’s best friend. She, too, holds a secret. May is a Fury, which means she can create and control fire, but, because she was adopted, she doesn’t know anything about her ability or how to control it. May loves to shop and is fashion sensitive. She is also friends with everyone, but couldn’t call anyone her best friend.

Jake

Llona’s uncle. He took over guardianship when her father died when she was thirteen. Depressed by his brother’s death, Jake mainly stays indoors, playing video games

Christian

Sandy blond hair, very bright blue eyes. He takes an immediate interest in Llona, but it’s clear he has secrets of his own. He’s athletic and strong and often broody. His weird mood swings bother Llona immensely.

Mr. Steele

Llona’s young math teacher who is uber hot. She has a huge crush on him and is grateful when he saves her from some thugs who were tagging the inside of the high school.

Matt

A literary genius. He becomes Llona’s good friend and the two have a lot in common. He doesn’t have many friends, but he doesn’t care to, either. He has big plans for the future.

My YA urban fantasy novel FRACTURED LIGHT was just released. The sequel is tentatively planned for release in February 2013.

I've been drunk on writing ever since I traveled to Ireland and became blessed (or cursed) by a Leprechaun with a french accent and a bad attitude. Of course I did just steal his gold, but that's another story.

I currently live in Maine and find the place terribly and hauntingly romantic. Love the forests and graveyards.
