About Elizabeth

Elizabeth Norris briefly taught high school English and history before trading the southern California beaches and sunshine for Manhattan's recent snowpocalyptic winter.

She harbors dangerous addictions to guacamole, red velvet cupcakes, sushi, and Argo Tea, fortunately not all together.

Her first novel, UNRAVELING (Balzer+Bray, April 2012), is the story of one girl’s fight to save her family, her world, and the one boy she never saw coming.

JoAnne: Personally, do you believe in aliens? The creepy green ones?

Elizabeth: I do believe in aliens. I feel like there's just a whole big world out there and we can't be the only form of life. I'm not sure if I believe in creepy green aliens with big eyes, like these. I mean, what's the basis for the green skin?


JoAnne: What music were you listening to when you were writing Janelle and Ben's scenes?

Elizabeth:I had a playlist with songs that really inspired certain scenes. I have them on my blog now.

JoAnne: What is your favorite non-SciFi book?

Elizabeth: I love anything by Melina Marchetta. Her contemporary novel, Jellicoe Roadmight be the best thing I ever read. I also have a soft spot for The Great Gatsbyby F. Scott Fitzgerald.

JoAnne: Star wars or Star trek? 

Elizabeth: Star Trek

JoAnne: Vampires or werewolves? 

Elizabeth: Werewolves

JoAnne: The one who loves you or the one you love? 

Elizabeth: Both :)

JoAnne: What is your next project?

Elizabeth: I just finished edits on UNBREAKABLE which is the sequel to Janelle and Ben's story. Now I'm working on something completely new :)
