[Day Four of 31 Days] My Book Boyfriend #5: Robin Goodfellow

A weekly meme, hosted by The Unread Reader, in which we swoon over boys in books!

I have been saving my hotties in time for 31 Days... Well, it's not as if we'll run out of hot guys to swoon over, but still... I want quality. We deserve quality. (haha!) So for the first week of October, we have the legendary Robin Goodfellow (or simply, PUCK) from The Iron Fey Series!  In my mind, Puck is portrayed by Xavier Samuel. Prince Ash is also my book friend, see here.

Facts about Puck:
  • A very, very old faery; he has ballads and stories written about him. He's nearly immortal.
  • THE Puck from the Midsummer Night's Dream
  • Oberon's pet
  • Prince Ash's worst enemy/best friend/it's complicated
  • *spoiler* Meghan's best (only?) friend and is in love with her

Favorite Lines / Scenes:
I've  indicated from which book I clipped the lines/scenes, so if you haven't read that particular book yet and you hate spoilers, skip it.

From the Iron King -
“Puck, no.” I clutched at his sleeve. “Don’t fight him. Someone could die.”
“Duels to the death tend to end that way.” Puck grinned, but it was a savage thing, grim and frightening. “But I’m touched that you care. One moment, princeling,” he called to Ash, who inclined his head. Taking my wrist, Puck steered me behind the fountain and bent close, his breath warm on my face.
“I have to do this, princess,” he said firmly. “Ash won’t let us go without a fight, and this has been coming for a long time now.” For a moment, a shadow of regret flickered across his face, but then it was gone.
“So,” he murmured, grinning as he tilted my chin up, “before I march off to battle, how ’bout a kiss for luck?”
From The Iron Daughter -
“You’re kind of blind, you know?” Puck whispered, smiling to soften his words. “I wouldn’t defy Oberon for just anyone. But, for you…” He leaned forward, touching his forehead to mine. “I’d come back from the dead for you.”
From The Iron Queen -
He drew in a shaky breath. “How can you ask me to let you die?” he choked, still keeping the blade at the prince’s throat. A thread of blood formed under the knife, and ran down to Ash’s collar. “I’d do anything for you, Meghan. Just…not that. Not that.”
There you go! So who says Ash is the only hottie in the Iron Fey Series?!

See you next week, my lovelies!
