Done With: The Faerie Ring
Next: The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer

The Daughter of Smoke & Bone is the first Laini Taylor book I've read, and I think she writes very beautifully. Through her descriptions, one can really imagine what the scene would appear to be. And Akiva... Oh Akiva... Just how handsome are you, really?!

As for The Faerie Ring, I think it's safe to say that I expected so much more. Don't get me wrong, the book is good, but I just had really high expectations that somehow, it failed to meet them. Lesson learned: Do not set high standards, at least not THAT high. Easier said than done... here I go again with The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer.
