It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

The book/s I have read the past week, and the book/s I plan to read throughout the week.
hosted by Shiela at Book Journey

Last week, I finished reading:
Oh my goodness. Finnikin of the Rock rocked-my-world for three days. I really do not know why I waited so long to read this book considering that I am a sucker for fantasy books. I was amazed by the complexity of the world that was created. There's nothing simple about this book at all. The characters have both good and bad sides. There were a lot of places the characters referred to that confused me at times (but I didn't mind, for once!); and there was even a map of the land. And the writing... Marchetta is an ah-may-zing fantasy story teller. I have to admit though, that this isn't my first Marchetta book. I read On The Jellicoe Road forever ago, and didn't like it as much as I wanted to. (Maybe because I really am not a fan of YA contemporaries.) But Finnikin was sensational! I definitely recommend this book to those who love a good (and complex) fantasy story.

This week, I plan to finish reading:
I really must stop ogling at this book cover.
Honestly, the sole reason I'm reading The Dark Light is because of THAT cover. Really, I have no words! That guy is just so... rawr.

*clawed hands*

It says in the blurb that the book is an EPIC romantic fantasy. I am just in chapter five, and I am waiting to see that fantasy element in the story. All I have been reading so far is about this girl admiring the guy's shoulders and tattoo. (What's not to admire, come to think of it.) I am crossing my fingers that this book will be as glorious as that guy's shoulders.
