After earning a Creative Writing degree from George Mason University and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Radford, I taught high school English until becoming a mommy. I've always had a heart for teens, and writing YA stories gives me the opportunity to delve into the ambiguities of those pivotal years before adulthood.

If Sweet Evil was being made into a movie, who would your dream cast be?

I actually don’t have an entire dream cast...I know that’s kind of lame of me. But there are a few actors and actresses who could fit a few of the parts. My dream would be to have actual actors and actresses from those parts of the world (English Kai/Ginger/Marna, African Kopano, Filipino/Asian Blake—although he was raised in the US, so he needn’t have an accent).
